Terms of Service

1. Service

CityAPI.org ("the Service") provides geographic data via a public HTTP REST API and a browsable website. The Service is operated by BrotCode UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Boenkestraße 73, 13125 Berlin, Germany.

2. Acceptable use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including commercial use. You may not:

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, signed cursors, or other access controls.
• Bulk-harvest data for redistribution without complying with the upstream data licenses (see Section 4).
• Use the Service in a manner that degrades its availability for other users.

3. Rate limits

Current and future rate limits are documented at the pricing page. We may adjust limits without notice in response to abuse or capacity constraints.

4. Data and attribution

The underlying data is sourced from third parties and carries its own licenses (see Data sources). You are responsible for complying with those licenses when redistributing data obtained through the Service.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. The data may contain errors, omissions, or staleness. Do not rely on CityAPI for safety-critical or regulatory purposes.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrotCode UG is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for any user or IP range at any time, in particular in response to abuse of the Service.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Venue is Berlin, Germany.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted at this URL with an updated date.
